It’s a lifestyle. That’s what drainage is. It’s a lifestyle. So I’m Mike Litzau, with Litzau Farm Drainage. We’ve been in business for three generations now Grandpa started it in, I believe, 1974 So, been around a little while. Seen a lot. Learning more everyday. Every year. So I’m now in business with my three brothers, we own it. We do really good work. I think a lot of our customers want a high quality of work and I think that’s what we’re giving them. How do we make sure everyones safe? 8-9 years ago with just a couple of employees it’s like – we need bright colors. Otherwise before that, everyons out there wearing black. Its all black or brown clothing. That’s all there is. That’s all there was. But as soon as you start getting employees you really start to realize that People can get hurt. You want to make sure we’re going home, we want to make sure employees are going home. Everyone is safe. No one is getting hurt. That makes it better. Really when it started we didn’t even know the insurance company offered anything. So when we started it was like – here’s what we think we need. So you start googling it to try and – OK, no we got something that we like this context, we like what it says. Now we’re gonna take it to the guys. Every Monday we have meetings now. We go over everything from chainsaw use, PPE equipment, proper use of ladders, I mean there’s everything. How to use a knife. How to cut tile correctly, how to do it safely, how to cut string Don’t over lift. If you don’t understand something, let’s make sure you understand it. Ask questions. Asking questions is big. We’ve sent the guys to OSHA training classes. The guys that are here for a few years, we send them to trench safety classes And trench box classes. All you gotta do is take one thing from that class and it was worth going there. We’re investing back in them by showing that we want to better the employee. We get that back. It’s that easy. You gotta start somewhere. Just to make sure people are safe.
