IN TONIGHT’S “LIVING LARGE” A HOME IS FAMOUS DUE TO TIES WITH THE FAMILY OF JACKIE KENNEDY. IT LATER FELL INTO DISREPAIR AND JACKIE O HERSELF GAVE THEM MONEY TO FIX IT UP. IN 1975, A DOCUMENTARY WAS MADE AND AN HBO MOVIE WITH A RECEPTION RIGHT IN THE HOUSE. THE ARTS AND CRAFT STYLE REMAIN INTACT. THE CURRENT OWNER HAD EVERYTHING RESTORED. THIS WAS ORIGINAL THIS ROOM? YES. IN FACT, I HAVE LOOKED AT OLD PICTURES. I HAVE SEEN SOME OF THE OLD DIAMOND SHAPED WINDOWS. A LOT OF THE BOOKS YOU CAN SEE WHICH ONES SOMETIMES ARE AUTHENTIC AND BELONGED TO THE BIFF YAIS. THE PARIS REVIEW DID A WHOLE STORY ABOUT THE BOOKS. Reporter: A COTTAGE KITCHEN INCLUDES CUPBOARDS FROM THE LATE 1800s. THE FAMILY EVEN SHARED A BEDROOM USING THESE SAME TWIN BEDS. THEY WERE MOTHER AND DAUGHTER AND CLOSE FRIENDS. Reporter: OUTSIDE YOU FIND UPDATES TO THE HOME INCLUDING A TENNIS COURT AND LARGE SWIMMING POOL BUT HISTORIC ELEMENTS SUCH AS THIS ORIGINAL CHILDREN’S COTTAGE REMAINS. THE GREY GARDENS.   1. 'Gardens' is NOT A HYPHENATED WORD!!!! Why is the Reporter pronouncing it that way? It's actually quite offensive. And 'Tennis' is not pronounced like 'Tannis'.

  2. Probably could've just turned it into a B&B and get some some sort of profit out of people staying there for a night or so.

  3. This report makes one mistake. This house was not purchased by Big Edie & Little Edie in 1924. It was purchased by Big Edie & her husband, Phelan, in 1924. At that time, they were still married, & Little Edie was only about 7 years old. Phelan & Big Edie divorced in 1946. Soon after, the house & property began to slide into disrepair.

  4. Is there any footage of the way house looked inside when.Beales lived and it was in good state, not like it was in documentary
